Kadluan, Vision rule
Makati press confab
By Vicson Aypa Mabanglo

THERE WAS NO ample time.

Yet, with the determination to overcome the odds stacked against them, Ang Kadluan and The Makati Science Vision, the official student publications of the Makati Science High School, showed that they are the teams to beat as they triumphed over eight other schools at the Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino High School, Barangay Comembo, City of Makati, Nov. 17-18.

In an exhibition of supremacy, the Makati Science ruled while showcasing the journalistic skills of its students, copping six golds, one silver, and one bronze in the Division of City Schools of Makati Secondary Schools Press Conference.

Far behind the Makati Science was the Fort Bonifacio High School that reaped two gold and two silver medals, while coming into the third place was the Makati High School with a meager harvest of two gold and three bronze medals.

In an amazing display of their journalistic prowess, Vicson Aypa Mabanglo, Christine Joy Ombania De Asis, Ancilla Marie Baulita Inocencio, and Jonathan Rod Sitchon De Guzman ruled in their respective fields, bagging first place in copy reading and headline writing, editorial cartooning, photojournalism, and sports writing, respectively.

Also, Ang Kadluan’s Charmaine Cua Santos and Renz Danielle Dugenia copped first place in pagwawasto at pag-uulo and paglalarawang tudling, respectively.

Showing their determination to win, Patricia Juim Fabian Suico and Ma Derlin Cantalejo Belen won second place in pagsulat ng editoryal and third place in pagsulat ng balita, respectively.
