FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-THREE Makati Science High School students enrolled this school year, 2.46 percent higher than 569 students last school year.

First year students increased by 22.14 percent, 149-182, while second year students, recording the highest decrease at 7.48 percent, dropped from last year’s 147 to 136, while third year and fourth year students also decreased by 4.44 percent, 135-129, and 1.45 percent, 138-136, respectively.

“Second year and third year students decreased because of the voluntary transfer of 31 students to other schools—18 juniors and 13 sophomores,” said Miss Lourdes Fulgencio Gonzales, Makati Science guidance counselor.

Last school year’s enrolment increased by 2.15 percent, 557-569.
