Japan Foundation conducts caravan in Makati Science

TO PROVIDE A taste of Japanese culture, the Japan Foundation-Manila (JFM) brought the Nihongo Caravan at the Makati Science High School, Nov. 9, through the initiative of Mrs Ma Luisa Hernandez-Larcena, Makati Science English coordinator.

 

“We want to offer science high school students a chance to know more about Japanese culture through this caravan,” said Mr Tsutomu Suzuki, JFM director.

Mr Toru Hoshi, JFM Japanese language education adviser, gave an overview about the Japanese language, while Ms Natsumi Waguri conducted Nihongo sample lessons.


Ms Eriko Furukawa demonstrated how to make a paper crane through origami.

Yosaki-Soran, a Japanese dance performed by Mr Osamu Sato, capped the caravan.
